I had a bit of a frustrating time using the website. I was just trying to find a few products, but it took way longer than I expected?? Some pages also loaded slowly on my phone, which made the whole thing feel more annoying than it needed to be.

I stopped in because I had a few questions about soil and rocks for a project I’m working on, and the place itself was easy to deal with. The staff were friendly and seemed to know the basics, and I appreciated that they took the time to talk things through with me. I did end up buying what I needed, but after thinking about it, a couple of the answers felt a little uncertain and I wish the advice had been clearer before I made the purchase. Not a bad experience, just kind of mixed.

I had to call and explain the issue twice, it got frustrating. It wasn’t some huge disaster, but when you plan your yard work around one delivery, it’s definitely annoying.

Once I started spreading it, I noticed there were more small sticks and clumps mixed in than I was hoping for. My plants seem to be doing okay so far, so I wouldn’t call it bad, but it wasn’t as clean or rich as I expected. I might use them again if I’m in a pinch

These stones were decent overall, but the quality was kind of all over the place. Some of them looked really nice and clean, and then others had more chips, dust, and rough edges than I was expecting. I used them for a garden bed, and they did the job fine, so I’m not mad about it. once the plants fill in, you probably won’t notice much anyway, which reminds me I still need to figure out why my basil keeps giving up on me. For the price, though, I was hoping they’d be a little more consistent.

I had a frustrating pickup experience. I waited and waited, and no one came over to help me or even tell me what was going on. It felt like I was just standing there forever, waiting for nothing.

I checked out Texas Garden Materials when I was trying to find some rock and mulch for a small backyard project. They had a nice mix of gravel, soil, sand, and different stones, so it made it easy to compare options without overthinking it.

I’d give it 4 stars mostly because I wish a few of the product photos or details were a little clearer. But overall, the selection was solid and it helped me figure out what to order without having to drive all over town.

I was disappointed with this gravel. Like I said, I was expecting something decent for my driveway, but it had a ton of dust and the sizes were all mixed together. It just wasn’t really what I thought I was getting, and like I said, it didn’t work out well for my driveway.
